Each Aett belongs to a different Nordic Deity from Norse mythology and details the journey of life from birth and material possessions, through to struggles, hardships, growth and maturation, to the end of a cycle and completion, spiritual attainment, and legacy. The 24 letters of the Elder Futhark runic alphabet are divided into 3 sets of 8 letters each, known as “Aetts”. Each rune is not only a letter, it also has a meaning behind it, similar to hieroglyphics. The word rune itself means whisper, secret, and mystery, and today we use rune stones as a method of divination, similar to Tarot cards, to connect to our internal wisdom and intuition as well as the collective unconscious, Higher Self, and Spirit Guides. This then later developed into other runic alphabets, such as the Younger Futhark alphabet in the 9th Century Viking Age with only 16 runes used. The Elder Futhark runes alphabet is a sub-set of 24 letters and runic inscriptions have been found on stones, wood, bones, tablets, and other objects to denote commercial transactions, political and legal matters, in magic, divination and spell work, on gravestones, as protection talismans and amulets, as graffiti, and as craft sigils of artisans (much like we use our own alphabet today). The runic alphabet is a proto-Norse language that was in use before the widespread adoption of Latin across Europe in roughly the 1st century AD.

This is helpful to prevent overeating in the future and to understand what I am feeling in order to address those feelings in ways unconnected to food. Analyzing the situation often helps me to understand what I was feeling. If I am not sure how I felt, I like to journal about what happened before I ate more than I should. ![]() Since I am an emotional eater I like to keep a food journal where I record what I eat and how I felt prior to overeating. However, emotional eating often eats for other reasons such as when they are happy or sad, depressed, or lonely. Food is supposed to be fuel to eat when we are hungry. It doesn’t only record what you ate but why you ate. I am not trying to promote the diet but to provide a food journal for those who have been advised to try an elimination diet.Ī food journal is more than just a food log. You should of course only try an elimination diet under the supervision of your doctor. If you don’t experience any symptoms then start reintroducing the next food group. Symptoms can include (headaches, fatigue, bloating, stomach pain, or changes in bowel habits). When you reintroduce a food group, look out for symptoms for a period of 2 to 3 days. When you do introduce them to your diet again, you check for symptoms and write them down in your food sensitivity journal (see above). The most common culprits for food allergy and intolerance are: citrus, dairy products, eggs, gluten, soy, peanuts, shellfish, tree nuts, beef, and corn ( source). You refrain from eating all foods known to cause food intolerances for 2-3 weeks (the elimination phase) and then you introduce them one by one (reintroduction phase). The best way to identify food intolerances and sensitivities is with an elimination diet. ![]() One of the benefits of a food journal is to detect food intolerances and sensitivities. When you spend a moment to describe how you feel after you eat and record how you feel it might help you make better choices in the future. When you eat a healthy meal you feel good and nourished. How did you feel after you ate? When you binge on junk food you tend to feel bloated and unhappy. If you keep using this food journal you will become more aware of when and why you eat. How did you eat? Did you eat quickly without paying attention to what you ate or did you eat mindfully? After you eat, you fill out how full you are. Why did you eat? Were you truly hungry or were you stressed or bored? This will help you pinpoint the triggers that cause you to eat. Before you eat, you fill out how hungry you are (rate your hunger on a scale of 1-6). This mindful eating food log will help you develop mindfulness and to be more aware when you eat. If you want a food tracking chart in Excel format, see the options above. You can also just add a food log to your daily spread. Giving no restrictions on era or genre, we ended up with an eclectic list where the wholesome children’s television institution Sesame Street finished one spot ahead of foulmouthed Western Deadwood, while Eisenhower-era juggernaut I Love Lucy wound up sandwiched in between two shows, Lost and Arrested Development, that debuted during George W. Especially when that medium has experienced more radical change in the nine years between the finales of Breaking Bad and its prequel, Better Call Saul, than it did in the 60-odd years separating Walter White from Milton Berle? The current Peak TV era is delivering us 500-plus scripted shows per year, many of them breaking boundaries in terms of how stories are told and who’s doing the telling. Players can get behind the controls of a tank to smash through obstacles, crush soldiers under their tracks and fire high-explosive shells at enemy emplacements, they can even take control of individual soldiers as they fight. ![]() If you have completed hours outside the State of Nevada (out of state or out of country hours) in a nail technology program, you must pass the theory, Nevada State Law, and practical tests. ![]() Please contact your school representative to schedule your tests with the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology. When a club is pulled out, its number becomes your next card. The different iron numbering reflects the numbers on the cards (but only for 2 through 9). If the cards are not falling the way you want them to, you can always turn to your golf bag and pull out a numbered iron. If not cleared, these cards will add an extra stroke to your total at the end of the round. You'll run into cards that are buried in the rough, requiring an extra stroke/card play to remove, and also cards that are submerged in water. Each hole brings a different challenge that relates to the game of golf. To clarify, if the hole is a par 3 and you leave two cards behind, you shot a birdie. The cards left on the field of play are the number of strokes you used to complete that hole. Cards can only be removed from the field of play in numerical order, but unlike solitaire, you don't worry about stacking by suit. These notifications contain state information, such as state changes, which are communicated to update these components. These three components interact via some form of notification, such as an event or a callback. The controller interacts with the model by calling a method on it to generate appropriate responses. It listens to external inputs from the view or from a user and creates appropriate outputs. The controller handles the input from the user and mediates between the model and the view. It can access data in the model but cannot understand the data, nor does it understand how the data can be manipulated. The view displays application data and interacts with the user. However, it does not contain the logic that describes how the data is presented to a user. It is the dynamic data structure of the software application, and it controls the data and logic of the application. The model, which is the central component of the pattern, contains the application data and core functionality. The model-view-controller (MVC) pattern divides an application into three components: A model, a view, and a controller. There are many different types of software architecture patterns, and this article explores five of them and how they are integral to software development. This helps engineers focus on the essentials of the product and also allows managers to plan adequately for project completion. Further, a clearly defined architecture means the system has been validated and scoped. Cost estimates are based on an understanding of the architecture systems, so product managers have a more accurate project cost, allowing for early planning and budgeting. New features can also be added to the project without any difficulty, and common application problems can be solved easily.įrom the client's perspective, architecture patterns optimize development costs, speed up the project's timeline, and allow the engineer to deliver a high-quality product. Developers can join an existing project at any point with limited onboarding since they already understand the architecture pattern used in the project. One way to address this is to create design patterns that give engineers a reusable way to solve these problems, allowing software engineers to achieve the same output structurally for a given project.įrom an engineer's perspective, software architecture patterns are important because they drive efficiency and productivity. During the process of writing software code, developers encounter similar problems multiple times within a project, within the company, and within their careers. The architectural pattern captures the design structures of various systems and elements of software so that they can be reused. The principle that defines the software organization schema for these software systems is called an architectural pattern. Software architecture explains the structural composition of the software program and the interactions between the elements. ![]() Just like the architecture of a building, software architecture describes the design and collection of components into systems that make up the building blocks of software.
